Donate to help Yumi with her Surgery

Hi, my name is Char and I’m asking for help for Yumi’s tracheal Surgery.

Yumi was brought to Riverstone Emergency Hospital on July 31st at 6 am when her condition worsened from the evening of the 30th into the early morning of the 31st.

She is 2 lbs and has the biggest heart. She has been there for me through my worst medical problems and my rock throughout the last 9 years of her life.

In 2021 our family tragically lost our 2nd dog, Fury. We were treated poorly at a Calgary Emergency Clinic and since then have been traumatized from the experience and don’t want to regret not trying other options.

I truly feel in my heart it’s not Yumi’s time to leave us. Calgary emergency vet has quoted Dr. Irving $15K for a tracheal stent. Whereas, Dr. Irving (from sundre) has quoted us $4000 and is waiting to see if she can order in the stent to be able to do the surgery in her care.

Without surgery she has a few months to live and medication will not prolong or help her to the extent that surgery can.

Dr. Irving believes this stent will be life changing for yumi as she rated the condition of her collapsing trachea a 9/10 and needing immediate attention.

Any donation helps our family out and the funds will be used directly for her surgery.
