We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits on behalf of Maekele, a devoted husband, father of three, and kind-hearted man of Eritrean descent. Maekele has recently been diagnosed with Aortic Regurgitation, a serious heart condition in which the aortic valve does not close properly, causing blood to leak backward into the heart. This condition can lead to life-threatening heart failure without urgent medical intervention.

Maekele is currently receiving care in Asmara, Eritrea, but the treatment options available locally are limited. After careful consultation with medical professionals, it has become clear that traveling to Germany for advanced cardiac surgery is Maekele’s best—and possibly only—hope for survival.

Maekele is not only fighting for his own life, but also for his family. He is a loving father of three young children and a dedicated husband, working tirelessly to support them despite his deteriorating health. His greatest wish is to recover and continue being there for his children as they grow, and for his wife, who stands by him through every challenge.
