My family and I are raising money to help lay to rest a beautiful woman, Lorraine, who is gone too soon.
Lorraine was born on July 3rd, 1954. She grew up in a small household packed with children and love in North Minneapolis. She was proud to be North Minneapolis, born and raised.
Lorraine always brought the party with her wherever she went! Everyone knew it was going to be a good time if Lorraine was going to be there. She made friends anywhere and everywhere, making all laugh along the way. Those she considered family were always just as important to her. Whether it be in-laws, her friends or the friends of her kids, she always made everyone feel like family.
She was passionate about many things—she loved to hit the dance floor, even if that meant the floor of her living room or gazebos. She could groove to anything but ‘70’s soul was her absolute favorite. Since she was a kid, she loved the movie the Wizard of Oz and really believed “There’s no place like home”.
She loved to cook and bake, watch thriller movies and old TV shows like The Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver and The Golden Girls. She was a BIG TIME Vikings fan, believing every year was their year and cheering “VI-KINGS!” to anyone who could hear!
We will all remember Lorraine as an ultimate joy bringer; always making everyone laugh all the time. She was not only a loving mother but a loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was always happy, caring, and a bright light who will be missed. The funds being raised will help with memorial costs and medical bills. Any amount donated will be helpful and greatly appreciated.
We will be having a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 26th. Details to be listed on Monday.
