Sassy ran away chasing a critter on Tuesday, and the beagle nose took over. Despite the efforts of friends and family, she just kept on going. Three grueling hours later she was hit by a car, leaving her with 2 broken rear legs and a broken pelvis. The driver did not stop.

Sassy is an 8 month old Beagle pup who loves to run, and unfortunately has become an escape artist. She belongs to my brother, Scott Sebring and has been a huge support for him through his continuing cancer treatments. Recently she escaped while the cat was being let inside. Six friends and family searched for 3 hours but Sassy unfortunately ran into the road and was hit by a driver who just kept going. The cost of the very expensive orthopedic surgery for two broken rear legs and a fractured pelvis was about $8700+
