Hi my name is Liz Castro, the purpose of this Go Fund me is to help Mike Costa and his wife, Alysa with their extensive medical bills for their daughter, Rosemarie. For those of you who do not know, this beautiful family has been on a long journey since October of 2021. Alysa was first admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital because of Preeclampsia. Days later Rosie was born at 23 weeks, weighing only 1 pound 5 ounces. A week following her birth, Rosie came down with an infection, that led to pneumonia. This compromised Rosie's lungs. The doctors said she only had a 5% survival rate. Small but mighty, Rosie fought procedure after procedure to have 3 chest tubes help vent oxygen. In order to receive a more specialized care, Rosie was airlifted to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she received a lifesaving surgery. She was intubated for 8 months, and also had to have eye surgery. This April, I am happy to say Rosie is off from oxygen assistance! She continues to receive occupational, physical, and speech therapy.

Unfortunately, all of these medical bills haven't been picked up by insurance. Those of you that know Mike Costa or have worked with him, know that he is a great person that is always reaching out and helping others. I have been blessed to have him as a friend for the last 10 years. If there is any amount you can contribute to help with Rosie's medical care, it would be greatly appreciated.
