Hi my name is Oli Metcalfe and on the 8th of November 2025 playing in a football match for Tadcaster Albion I suffered a knee injury and was then stretchered off . This happened just over 2 weeks ago and after X-Rays , MRI’s and consultations the doctors have found a break in my knee and medial ligament damage too . At the time of the injury I did have injury insurance however I have been unable to claim due to the type of this particular injury . I have been playing football from a very early age , and never had an injury until this season . This is my second serious injury of the season as earlier on in the season I dislocated my shoulder while playing football again. My surgery is booked in for next week , so after having 3 weeks off work and football , I will be having an extended amount of time off work and football while the surgery , rehab and physio is completed . Any donations during this time while I’m unable to earn an income will be going towards the surgery and rehab/physio costs , as the NHS waiting list was far too long so I’m having to fund this myself.
