Donate to help with Emmas Cancer treatment

Hey everyone,

We have started this go fund me in attempt to try help the Barnfield family cover the cost and expenses in these stressful and frightening times while their eldest daughter Emma, undergoes treatment for stage 4 cervical cancer.

 

In January, a normal visit to her GP presenting stomach pain thinking it was her chrones disease playing up, Emma was referred for a CT Scan on her stomach.

 

February 22nd - Emma was found to have Large Tumours measuring 7.8 x 5cm.

 

On March 3rd - Emma's mum Mandy took her to Traralgon for PET scan, it was at this point they were told the mass had already spread into her Lymph nodes and she was referred to Dandenong hospital.

 

Two weeks later they travelled the 370km round trip for Emma to have a biopsy and for the specialist to have a closer look.

This is where it was sadly confirmed to be a Malignant tumour.

Now measuring 10cm x 7cm and being fungating and necrotic that Emma would not be able to have surgery right away and will need to undergo 5 weeks of intense treatment at Peter Mac in hope to shrink/kill the Cancer.

 

This is where myself and Sami-lee thought we could help.

 

Emma will be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy 5 days a week for 5 weeks, as she lives in Sale, Gippsland 260km away so it's not practical and successful treatment would not be achievable if she had to travel everyday.

A small flat in North Melb has been found and will cost approximately $500 a week. We are hoping to help cover some if not all of this cost as well as extra for the costs of travel, food, bills and anything else they need.

 

We will provide updates throughout Emma's journey and are thankful to anyone who can help no matter how big or small the donation is, it's greatly appreciated.

All money raised will be given to Mandy Barnfield (Emma's mum) who is doing an amazing job keeping everything together and staying strong.
