Snoqulamie Ridge Members,
Many of you know Michael "Chipper" Anderson from your interactions with him on the golf course. Chipper has been with us for five years and is our primary rough mower and has been known to stop and say hello and perhaps, share a life story or two.
On Saturday, June 17th, Chipper was on his way to work to help prepare the golf course for our annual "Tip n' Tuck" tournament and was hit head-on by a drunk driver on SR-203 and subsequently rear-ended by a box truck. This resulted in a broken sternum, several ribs and two vertebrae. He was transported to Harborview Hospital in Seattle where he recieved several screws and plates in his spine to stabilize. Furthermore, it was also discovered during his hospital stay that he had two clots in his lungs which he also underwent a procedure to clear. At this time, he remains in the hospital with a hopeful release date on or around June 28th.
In addition to missed time at work, his medical expenses are quickly adding up. Many of you have asked how you can help. Our goal of $7,000 should cover roughly two months of pay and will hopefully help bridge a huge financial gap, buying him some time to focus on his recovery and get his ducks in a row. Anything you may be able to contribute is recieved with heartfelt appreciation from Chipper.
