Hello, my name is Michelle, and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart to raise funds for the medical expenses incurred for our beloved puppy, Tobi. Tobi, a 10-month-old Chihuahua mix born on May 17, 2024, was the light of our lives.

On the evening of March 9, 2025, Tobi was taken for a brief walk as he seemed unwell. Sadly, he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. He was immediately rushed to Emergency Vet Now in Bury, where he was stabilized. Initially, we were told his injuries were limited to a broken leg and shock, though there were concerns about internal fluid. We were given hope that he would recover.

Throughout the night, we received updates, and while Tobi was clearly struggling, we were reassured he was responding to treatment. However, by morning, his condition drastically worsened. We were told he had severe brain swelling, breathing difficulties, internal injuries, and a fractured leg requiring amputation. The sudden and severe decline was shocking and heart-breaking. After careful consideration and with the guidance of the vet, we made the agonizing decision to humanely euthanize him to prevent further suffering.

We are now faced with significant veterinary bills and cremation costs. We were in the process of changing pet insurance, and unfortunately, the current policy did not cover this emergency.
