Help Winnie with Lymphoma

Hi! My name is Olivia and I’m raising funds for my dog’s medical costs. I have an estimated 10-year-old rescue dog named Winnie. On Saturday 1-4-25 she stopped eating, was throwing up, having diarrhea, and lethargic. We went to an ER vet Saturday night, urgent care 1-5, primary vet 1-6, ER vet 1-7, and that ER on 1-7 did an ultrasound and found a mass in Winnie’s bowel surrounded by enlarged lymph nodes. The internist believed it to be lymphoma. She had a fine needle aspiration done of the enlarged lymph nodes and that came back as clear, but they told me that an fna isn’t a diagnostic tool that can definitively diagnose lymphoma and it definitely could still be lymphoma. She’s been on so many meds throughout this entire ordeal and has now developed some urinary incontinence as well (went to the vet 1-10 to look into this). The meds are all prescribed to treat symptoms, but she’s still barely eating and occasionally vomiting and still a bit lethargic. I’d like to not just treat the symptoms, but treat the underlying cause of all of these symptoms. I hate just throwing a bandaid on it.

Between all of these vets visits, diagnostic tests, and meds, I have already spent thousands of dollars. I do work full time but I just cannot afford all of this continuing vet care that she will need. What they would like to do is:
  • Repeat ultrasound to see if the mass changed at all: $600-$800
  • CT scan to better visualize the mass and to see if the potential cancer has spread to any other parts of the body: $2,200
  • Exploratory surgery to really see what organs and systems are being effected and to get a biopsy of the mass itself to have a definitive diagnosis: $8-9,000
  • If the diagnosis comes back as lymphoma or any cancer, we will need to start chemotherapy. If it comes back as IBD or some other condition, we will have to treat that as well. I don’t have quotes for these things right now I know cancer treatment is pricey

I know we all should have money saved for medical emergencies for our pets, and I did have that. But the costs are now piling up as this has been difficult to diagnose and we still don’t have a diagnosis. I hate seeing my dog who I love so much suffer and be so sick and not really being able to treat the problem because we don’t know what exactly the problem is.

We greatly appreciate any donation you’re able to give and it will go directly towards Winnie’s medical costs. She means everything to me and I just want her to get the treatment she needs.
