Hi, my name is Troy Gonzalez, son of Wally Gonzalez. My dad was recently diagnosed with kidney failure, a diagnosis that came as a shock to us all as we always saw him as superhuman; playing sports with his three kids and giving us a run for our money even though he was in his 50s and now 60s. We are looking to raise money to help cover his medical expenses as he moves forward with treatment and dialysis.

Who is Wally Gonzalez?

Above all else, Wally is most proud of being a dedicated father to his three kids: daughter Bella and sons Troy and Gavin. He served four years in the Marines before moving back to Sayre, PA and eventually Elmira Heights. Since then, he has been a devout member of the Elmira Heights community for the past three decades. He has been involved in youth sports such as Little League baseball and pee-wee football, coaching both for many years, something he took very seriously and to this day has a passion for. He was also an avid supporter and friend of the local police department. Over the years, he has helped create and run fundraisers for the school district, created and coached youth sports teams, lent a helping hand as a general contractor for various construction projects, and more. He even won the Citizen of the Year Award in 2008 for his contributions to the community.

He has made sacrifice after sacrifice for us and for his community throughout his life, and we are trying our best to help take care of him now that he's the one needing help. We would appreciate it if you could share this GoFundMe and consider donating.
