Hello, my name is Jennifer Dempsey, and I am fundraising for Drew and Blair Wade for their sweet baby boy Walker Wade. Below is a post from Blair Wade as she had an emergency C-Section after her water broke with her son, only at 35 weeks. He was born with lung complications, and then they later found out the below about his sweet heart. We thank God for being early, as his time in the NNICU is the only reason this heart defect was found. We firmly believe Walker is meant to be on this earth with his mommy and daddy and need your help as they navigate this challenging time. Financially, they have a long road ahead of them with multiple surgeries in the future and trips to Atlanta quite often. There are many expenses such as hotel, food, travel, etc. I know they would greatly appreciate any help you would be willing to give! Yesterday at 1:30 in the morning, we got a call to tell us that they found defects with our boys heart that would need surgery to repair and that meant he would have to go to Atlanta to the CICU at CHOA Egleston. We are looking at multiple surgeries in the near future but we are so thankful that the issues were found early and that he is in the best place for the best care possible. He is stable and doing as good as could be expected. A whole 8 days old and making sure to keep his Mommy and Daddy on their toes. Seeing him hooked up to all of the machines and knowing what's in his future is hard on us, but we are so very thankful for the team here and the team he had in the NNICU in macon.
