Donate to help vulnerable children have access to water!

Founded by Cosmus Mwena Wendo in 2006, Ebenezer School is situated in Makkinon Road, a village created along the railway line in an impoverished rural area of Kenya, 98 km from Mombasa.

The school opened with 8 pupils in a small rented room attached to the head teacher’s house with the vision of giving all the children in the area the opportunity to learn. Since 2006, 3 buildings with 6 more classrooms have been added, and there are more than 110 pupils. Since 2006, two new schools have also been created. All of the children arrive at school every day eager to learn, as many of the children in the area do not have this opportunity due to various, mostly financial, issues. Some of these children we help through their financial hardships, but the school has limited resources, so there are many we cannot.

On the grounds of Ebenezer Secondary School, there is a large vegetable garden (400x80m). As of right now, only half of it is planted, as there is not enough water to irrigate it all. The produce is going to the family and to the schools. The important, crucial thing right now is to have access to water. What is lacking is water, so the construction of a well is planned. Anything helps, even just the reposting of this post to spread awareness if you are not in a financial place to donate. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and have a blessed day!
