Our father was diagnosed a few years ago with Myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer. This cancer in some instances, although uncommon, can lead to acute leukemia, a highly progressive form of bone marrow cancer. In 2019 it did just.
that. A year later, during peak covid times, he went through a bone marrow transplant to treat his acute leukemia. Recovery has proven to be difficult and challenging and is still ongoing. Since his transplant my parents have traveled to and from Buffalo almost on a weekly basis. Out of pocket travel costs are significant and beginning to be too cumbersome to pay for. We’re not a family that asks for help but it’s to the point where all the expenses are beginning to weigh heavily on my parents. We ask that you please help in any way you can during this difficult time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
