Hey all,

I’m one of Val’s best friends and I’m here to tell you a little bit about what is happening in her life.

First of all, if you haven’t met Val, I want you to know that she is one of the most amazing and genuine people I have ever met in my life, and everyone that has the opportunity to meet her feels the same way. She is a woman full of dreams and seeking to explore the world, but unfortunately, she had her dreams and plans paused for a while.

Val has been living in Sydney with her partner Raphael for more than 5 years and in April this year, she received the most difficult news of her life. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 3.

She had just started a new job in the same week and because of the treatment, she had to quit the job, making Raphael the only source of income for both of them.

Since the diagnostic, Val has been fighting against cancer with all the strength she has. As the cancer and the tumour were already a bit developed, surgery wasn’t an option, initiating then the treatment.

It hasn’t been an easy journey… She did more than 20 sessions of radiotherapy, sessions of chemotherapy every week and 3 more brachytherapy. Having to go nearly every day to the hospital.

Thankfully Val has a medical team extremely qualified, a partner that loves her more than everything, a family that gives her all support she needs and also her friends that are making their best to try to make it all less difficult and less painful as possible.

However, the costs of the treatment are very expensive, not to mention the costs of medications, acupuncture to help with the pain caused by the treatment etc. We all know it is not cheap to live in Australia, especially in Sydney, and plus all of that there is the cost of living as well.

Cinira and Thata had an idea to organise a Bazaar “Reselling with Purpose” with the objective to help someone who was dealing with a difficult situation. They heard what was happening with Val and straight away they agreed to raise the money to help Val.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your help. Val's heart fills with hope and love for seeing so many people helping the cause. She deserves the whole world and everything else she wants it.

She is a fighter and will be a cancer survivor very soon.

Aqui quem escreve é uma das melhores amigas da Valeria e eu vim contar para vocês um pouco do que está acontecendo com ela.

 

Antes de tudo, se você não conhece a Val, quero que você saiba que ela é uma das pessoas mais incríveis e cheias de luz que eu já conheci na minha vida. E todas as pessoas que a conhecem dizem o mesmo. Valzinha é uma mulher que sempre teve sede de viver e explorar o mundo e, infelizmente teve os seus planos e sonhos interrompidos por um tempo.

A Val mora em Sydney com seu partner Raphael há mais de 5 anos e no mês de Abril desse ano recebeu a noticia mais triste da vida dela. Ela foi diagnosticada com câncer de colo de útero estágio 3, depois de uma bateria de exames realizados.

Ela tinha acabado de começar um trabalho novo na semana que descobriu e teve que sair por conta do tratamento que iria iniciar, Raphael sendo então a única fonte de renda dos dois.

Desde então, Val vem lutando contra esse câncer com todas as forcas que ela tem e, também com as forcas que ela nem sabia que tinha. O câncer e o tumor estavam um pouco avançados e impossibilitaram uma cirurgia para a remoção, tendo assim que iniciar um tratamento.

Não tem sido uma jornada fácil... Foram mais de 20 sessões de radioterapia, sessões de quimioterapia toda semana e mais 3 brachytherapies. Indo praticamente todos os dias ao Hospital.

Graças a Deus Val conta com uma equipe médica extremamente qualificada, um partner que a ama mais que tudo e é seu companheiro, uma família que da todo o suporte e mais seus amigos que fazem o possível para tentar deixar tudo isso menos difícil e doloroso possível.

 

Entretanto, os custos desse tratamento são bem caros, sem contar os custos com medicamentos e sessões de acupuntura para ajudar nas dores causadas devido ao tratamento. Fora todos os custos normais para se viver em Sydney, que sabemos que não é barato.

A Cinira, junto com a Thata, teve a ideia de organizar o Bazar “Revendendo com Proposito” com a finalidade de ajudar alguém que estivesse passando por uma situação difícil. Chegou a elas o que estava acontecendo com a Val e sem nem pensar uma vez, a ponte foi feita e todo o dinheiro arrecadado vai pra Val, como uma forma de tentar fazer esse processo todo ter menos uma preocupação (a financeira).

 

Muito obrigada pela sua ajuda. O coração da Val se enche de amor e esperança sabendo que tem tanta gente a ajudando. Juntos somos mais fortes e não é porque a Val é minha amiga, mas ela merece o mundo todinho e mais tudo que ela quiser.

Ela é uma fighter, guerreira e muito em breve será também uma sobrevivente do câncer.
