Friends, family, and anyone who can hear us right now,
We never imagined we would be writing something like this. Our home — the place where our life was built, where memories lived, where we felt safe — has been devastated by the floods. Not damaged. Not affected. Destroyed.
When the first flood hit, it took almost everything. Furniture, appliances, clothes, personal belongings, photographs, keepsakes we can never replace. Walls soaked, floors ruined, electrics destroyed. We stood there in shock, trying to understand how a lifetime could be wiped away in a matter of hours.
Just as we were beginning to clear the mud, trying to salvage what little we could, the second round of flooding came. It broke us in a way we didn’t expect. Anything we had managed to save was lost. Any progress we had made was undone. The emotional and physical toll of starting again — again — has been overwhelming.
This isn’t just about things.
It’s about exhaustion.
It’s about fear.
It’s about standing in a ruined house and not knowing how to rebuild when everything feels so heavy.
The damage is huge. The house needs serious repairs before it can even be lived in again. Basic necessities are gone. The costs keep rising, and the reality is that we cannot cope with this alone. We are doing everything we can, but the scale of destruction is far beyond what we can manage on our own.
Asking for help is incredibly hard. Pride disappears when survival takes over. We are asking from a place of honesty and desperation — we need support to rebuild our life.
If you are able to donate, even the smallest amount, please know it truly matters. Every contribution helps us move one step closer to safety, stability, and a future again. If you cannot donate, please share this appeal — sharing is just as powerful and could reach someone who can help.
Right now, kindness is the only thing holding us together. Your support, your compassion, your willingness to stand with us in this darkest moment — it means more than words can ever express.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping us believe that we can rebuild, even after everything has been taken from us.
❤️
