Hi, my name is Mallory and I am Tyler’s sister. On June 1st, Tyler went into the ER for some pain he was having. He thought it was related to the UTI he had been diagnosed with the week before or that he had possibly developed kidney stones. He found out that night/early into Friday morning that he had testicular cancer. He underwent surgery on Friday, June 2nd to have his right testical removed and a stint placed so they can make sure his kidneys are draining. He spent the weekend in the hospital and was released on Sunday, June 4th. His pathology report came back on Tuesday, June 6th confirming that he did in fact have testicular cancer. Tyler, Nicole and our mom met with Tyler’s oncologist Friday, June 9th. At that appointment we learned that Tyler has stage 3 A testicular cancer. The tumor they removed from his testical in surgery was 5” long. He also found out that he has a 7” tumor in his groin area and a small spot on his lung. At this point in time he is scheduled to have his port put in on Wednesday, June 21st and he will start 9 weeks of chemotherapy on Monday, June 26th.

Today we all found out that at the end of July Tyler will be losing his health insurance due to him not being able to work much while he is getting his chemo treatments. If you can please donate to help him and his wife during this difficult time.
