Donate to Help Trish and Theo Relocate Safely

Hi there! My name is Trish (she/her), and I am a disabled, community mental health nurse that is struggling to survive financially. My partner, Theo, lost his job due to Hurricane Helene and has had difficulty finding work in Asheville since.

We decided that moving to Canada was going to be the best thing for us mentally, physically, and financially. I am currently in negotiations with recruiters in British Columbia, and my Canadian nursing license got approved this week!

The problem we are having is that we are going to be without housing as of 6/30. Our plan has been to rent/buy an RV at the end of the month; however, we are struggling to come up with a down payment. We chose the RV as the best way to travel to British Columbia due to the fact that we have 5 cats and 1 dog. We're thinking this should be the safest and most convenient option, and we're really hoping we can get this RV. Otherwise, I'm not completely sure how we will be able to get to the Vancouver area with all the animals, as well as have stable housing throughout this entire transition.
