Hi, my name is Kabita Kunwar, and I am raising fund on behalf of my best friend, Bhawana Kharu Magar, who is battling against blood cancer (acute myeloid leukemia, AML FLT3 Positive).

Bhawana was diagnosed with blood cancer a few months ago and is currently under-going treatment in Nepal. She urgently needs a new bone-marrow for her treatment, and the whole transplant procedure is very costly ~35K US Dollars.

She is receiving treatment in Blood and Multispeciality Hospital, Jwalakhel, Lalitpur under the supervision of Dr. Bishesh Shrestha. The other thing is, in case of Nepal, the hospital needs ~50% of deposit early to begin the transplant procedure, so this funding is really important to at least begin pre-transplant tests.

We are raising this fund to allocate enough money for her treatment, so she can get the treatment ASAP. Any contribution-no matter how big or small- can make a big difference in her life.

Bhawana's side of story:

October 13, 2024, I was sent to hospital outside shore in Monaco for the checkup of few side effects I was experiencing at Cruise. I was all chill throughout the way until I reach the hospital thinking what could go wrong. Then the doctor delivered the news that changed my life forever YOU HAVE LEUKEMIA (praying it's not what I was thinking in my mind) it is a blood cancer and you're already in intermediate stage so we need to start the treatment immediately.

Why me? Why now? What did I ever did wrong to anyone?How is it even possible ? I had full body checkup just 2 months before. Too many questions in mind with me being numb of unable to process what just happened. Nothing changed and then begins my journey of being Blood Cancer Patient.

The pain, tears, fear of dying, loneliness, denial every mix emotions your body and mind experience at the same time. Worst of all, you have to hold all these feelings and break the news to your parents and see the side of reactions you never wish any child would see in their parents face. 3 months ,3 cycles of chemotherapy and Currently waiting for Bone marrow transplant.

Brightside, I never knew how strong I was until now to go through and survive all the obstacles on my own. The fear of needles I had whole life ,with all day poking throughout my body just vanished. I realize how fragile our life is and how uncertain everything around us. But I never knew that there are so many people who genuinely love me and do care still.

2 reasons I'm writing this today. First, I finally accepted that AML is a part of my life that I have to live with and there's nothing pretty much I can do about it. Second, I'm in urgent need of funds for my treatment . I request everyone to donate / transfer how much you can to support me through this phase.
