I fought cancer-now I need a little help to heal financially

Hi, my name is Tracy, and I’m a recent cancer survivor. For those who may follow me on social media, you have seen my journey over the last 15 months. this fundraiser was actually set up last year by my friend Anita, and I just never shared it because it made me feel uncomfortable. Now I understand the expenses of going through something like this.

I finished chemotherapy & radiation earlier this year and am incredibly grateful to be on the other side of treatment. But as anyone who’s faced cancer knows, the battle doesn’t end when the treatments stop.

While I was going through treatment, the medical bills piled up. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs, missed work, and unexpected expenses have left me financially overwhelmed. I’ve been behind in everything for the last year and have to pick and choose what bills to alternate. I’m currently working three jobs, doing everything I can to stay afloat, but no matter how hard I try, I just can’t catch up. I have a full time job, plus a weekend restaurant job and also do grocery deliveries.

I’ve never been someone to ask for help, in fact I would rather work and do side jobs to make extra money. I’m strong, independent, and proud to work hard. But right now, I need to lean on my community. I’m not asking for a handout — just a little support to help me breathe again, to keep my car and to get back on stable ground as I rebuild my life post-cancer.
