Hello all,

my name is Kelsey Slagle and I am a preschool teacher located in San Francisco, California. This account was made for my momma, Toni Slagle of Arnold, Missouri.

This past weekend a storm hit multiple states across the Midwest and the South. Sadly and terribly, the St. Louis area, the city where I grew up, was hit with 10 confirmed tornadoes on Friday 3/14. My hometown of Arnold, Missouri was among the hardest hit. Every home in our subdivision sustained damage, including my childhood home. I thank God and my lucky stars that my family is safe and unharmed.

My mom is continuing to work this week while at the same time figuring out what to do about the significant damage to our home. Rain water poured in through our roof damaging the bedrooms and kitchen. Carpet and walls were destroyed and must be replaced before mold starts to spread. Our backyard was also impacted and we no longer have a fence. Although we have insurance, the deductible is 3% of our home value; totaling around 7,000. My mom is a single working class mom and unfortunately we cannot afford this deductible cost. We greatly appreciate any amount if you feel inclined to donate. Thank you for taking time to read.
