Hi, my name is Nancy, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved dog, Toffee.

Over the past four months, my family has opened our home to two foster dogs, Toffee and his brother Brownie. They came to us from a tough life in California where they were rescued, enduring a tougher start to life. Despite everything they’ve been through, both dogs have shown nothing but kindness, resilience, and unconditional love

Toffee, in particular, is the gentlest little soul. He has brought so much warmth into our home, and watching him slowly learn to trust and feel safe has been truly special.

Unfortunately, everything changed suddenly.

Toffee recently suffered a serious fall down a set of stairs and broke his leg in two places. We were devastated. After rushing him to the vet, we were given heartbreaking options: either amputate his leg or proceed with a complex surgery to repair the damage and try to restore his mobility.

After everything Toffee has already endured, we cannot bear the thought of taking away his ability to run, play, and live freely if there is a chance to save his leg.

Since the accident, his brother and partner in crime Brownie has not left his side. It’s been incredibly moving to see their bond, Brownie stays close, comforting Toffee every step of the way, just as our family is trying to do.

The cost of the surgery is approximately $4,000, an amount that has come completely unexpectedly and is difficult for us to manage on our own.

We are asking for any support you can give- whether it’s a donation or simply sharing Toffee’s story. Every little bit helps bring him closer to recovery and the happy, healthy life he truly deserves.

Toffee has already overcome so much in his short life. We just want to give him the chance to keep moving forward, on all four legs, surrounded by love.
