Tim was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2017. A couple of months after his diagnosis, he lost his Mother and six months later his brother.; needless to say, it was the year from hell.
In 2020 the cancer spread to his hip in the form of bone cancer. Being treated for prostate cancer is tough enough but adding a treatment for bone cancer on top of that is taking its toll on his body. His treatments will be lifelong.
This disease has made it very difficult for Tim to go to work so, unfortunately, he misses a lot. His mind is willing; he goes when he can, but his body does not always cooperate. He is out of earned time and hours that co-workers have donated. This means no paycheck. His wife Kim runs a small daycare out of their home but because his immune system is nonexistent, she had to close during the height of the pandemic to protect him. The daycare has reopened but her income alone is not enough to pay their regular bills—never mind the mounting medical bills.
Those of us who know Tim best know that he isn't one to ask for help, which is why I’m doing this on his behalf. Cancer is expensive and no one should go broke having to fight for their life. Any donation is so appreciated and will help ease the financial burden and worry on the family and allow Tim to focus on getting well enough to resume life and work as close to normal as he can.
