Hello, I'm Andrea Solano Rodriguez, Colombian, born and raised in the Department of Córdoba - Montería, Colombia.

Today, I am reaching out to this community to request solidarity and support for all the people of Córdoba and Sucre who have been affected by SEVERE FLOODING, which has caused one of the most serious climate emergencies in recent history, following several days of torrential rain that has led to massive flooding across much of the region.

According to official figures, 24 of the 30 municipalities in the department have been affected. The floods have hit more than 45,000 families, leaving a total of more than 120,000 people homeless. The magnitude of the impact is reflected in the more than 200 neighbourhoods, 300 villages and 100 townships that are currently facing emergencies.

I currently live in Puerto Rico, but as a native of Cordoba, I feel pain for my homeland and want to be able to help all those families who have lost everything: their homes, belongings, crops, and livestock. Cordoba is a department that lives off agriculture and livestock, so most of its population has not only lost material possessions, but also what they have worked so hard to build throughout their lives, their daily livelihood

Today, with my hand on my heart, I am reaching out to you to ask for your help and solidarity. Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
