My boy Thel is in urgent need of medical care. On 7/23/25 He woke up from his afternoon nap completely paralyzed in his back legs. While it lasted for about 10-15 minutes, it felt like hours. I took him to the emergency vet to figure out what is going on. They evaluated him, and he showed some discomfort when walking and they performed an x-ray. Thankfully the x-ray showed no damages to his spine or anything alarming. However, due to Thel’s current heart condition (aortic stenosis) it’s most likely he threw a blood clot. We have to see a cardiologist as soon as possible to conduct more tests including an echo and an ultrasound. We are hoping these tests will provide a diagnosis. For now, he is on a pain med, muscle relaxer, and a blood thinner to ease his comfort and try to prevent any clotting for the time being.

Thel is funniest and sweetest boy you could ever meet. He’s about to turn 3 in a few days, and our time can’t be cut this short so soon. Thel is not just a simple pet in my life, he is truly family. He also has a brother, Jasper, and they are inseparable best friends. It has been so heartbreaking watching him go through this. While today’s initial vet visit was $1,042, more tests need to be done and the costs are only going to be piling up more. Simply put, i’m reaching out now to ask for any help.

Any donation you are able to make is beyond appreciative. Every cent will go directly to covering Thel’s vet bills. These bills include exams, tests, medications, and treatment. Once I receive the costs for more tests the cardiologist wants to do, i will update the total amount of my goal accordingly, as well as include pictures of the invoices like today’s visit. The cardiologist appointment that is scheduled for 8/4/25 is $785.
