Hello,

My name is Jeconiah Retulla, and I work as an opera singer here in Germany. While I am away pursuing my career, my family and community in Cebu, Philippines, have just been struck by a devastating earthquake.

The community has suffered extensive damage, churches, stores, houses destroyed, leaving countless families homeless and without basic needs like electricity, food, and clean water. They urgently need our support.

We are raising funds for immediate necessities:

Emergency Shelter: Purchasing tents and sleeping mats to provide safe, temporary shelter for displaced families.

Basic Power: Procuring a generator to restore vital power for emergency communications, water pumps, and essential lighting.

Relief Goods: Supplying the community with essential food, clean water, and hygiene kits.

Every donation will be used directly to purchase and deliver these crucial items to the community. Your generosity will provide not just temporary relief, but a genuine source of hope for families who have lost everything.

Through our initial efforts, we able to get generators and solar lights to the evacuation areas. We have also given some relief goods, hygiene kits, tents, and water to the victims. The first batch of our food drive has already started. We were able to prepare lunch and dinner for 100 people through your help.

We continued with our second batch of relief operations, where we were able to provide 100 people in San Remigio with relief goods (such as rice, canned meat, instant noodles, etc.), hygiene products (such as soap, tissue paper, detergent, shampoo, etc.), and tents.

All in all, as of October 12th, we have raised almost €4,000 (including the money people have given me personally), which I have successfully turned over to a family member in the Philippines. People are still waiting for news on when it would be a great time to start rebuilding.

Though we are happy that the humanitarian efforts of people have exceeded expectations, the challenge still remains. There are still people who are left without homes, including my family, and I would like to contribute to the next wave of donations for the construction of our home.
