Hi, my name is Hailey, and I am fundraising for the Venerus Family,

I first met Ray over a decade ago, and through him I became close friends with his children, Vanessa and Tyler. Tyler and I now work together at New Gold, Rainy River Mine. Over the years I've come to know just how strong, kind and hardworking this family truly is.

In early November, Ray received the news that he has brain cancer. Since then, he's been in Thunder Bay undergoing treatment, surrounded by the love and support of his family, who have not left his side. The family has been staying in hotels and Airbnb's, doing everything they can to be there for him every step of the way.

Anyone who knows the Venerus family knows how selfless they are - always the first to lend a hand, never the first to ask for help. Now it's our turn to support them.

All funds raised will go towards helping Ray's family with travel, accommodations, meals and other expenses that come with being away from home during this difficult time.
