Donate to help the Strong-Pritchard Family

Hello, we're the Sexsmith Post Office staff fundraising for our coworker, Melissa and her family, Wray and Barry. Wray, Melissa and Barry's 18 year old son was diagnosed with leukemia on Monday February 3rd, 2025. On Tuesday night, Wray was flown to the U of A hospital in Edmonton where he has been undergoing multiple tests. Melissa flew with him to be there during these next few months. For the next 30 days, Wray will have to go through massive chemo treatments down in Edmonton, after which he will have to stay in Edmonton to continue treatment until the doctors allow him to come home. This could be months as Grande Prairie is not set up for the treatment he will need. Wray had to quit his job at the gas station and Melissa has taken time off work indefinitely to be by Wray's side through all of this!! Barry will be home working and taking care of the house and dogs. This will be very hard for them to be apart, as they are a very close family! We want to help them as much as we can to lessen the burden of stressing over monthly costs, lost wages and travel back and forth from Sexsmith to Edmonton.
