There are millions of homeless dogs and cats in Thailand living without basic medical care or food. Animal Army Foundation are a licensed (charity) veterinary clinic based in the Pattaya area. They focus on the rescue and rehabilitation of street animals by providing them with medical care, sterilisation to help prevent further growth of the stray population, and provide a safe haven for disabled dogs until they find their forever homes. They also work to educate the public on empathy towards animals and collaborate with policymakers to push for stronger protection laws of them in Thailand.

This charity is important to me as I have spent the final month of my travels volunteering here. Growing up visiting family & friends in Thailand and Philippines, I would always worry about the street animals not having enough food or help. While travelling I have done my best to feed, water and find medical attention for those who need it. As an animal lover and a Registered Veterinary Nurse I wanted to try and do more so I came to the Animal Army Foundation.

Being a charity, donations are needed to help keep them running. There are currently many little mouths to feed, with an influx of rescued puppies and more coming. They need food, vaccinations, sterilisation and preventative care. Other animals are poorly and require medication for treatment and some have needed emergency surgery (& more will come needing it) at the cost of the clinic. Any money donated will go directly towards helping them and I can promise waggy tails and grateful hearts in return.
