Hi,

This is Daniel Rossiter’s mom, it brings me great sadness to inform all who loved Marley McKoy that he passed away yesterday! He was a wonderful man, son, brother husband, father, friend, cousin and entertainer who will be missed by so many! Our family is devastated and still trying to realize this is really happening, please keep his family especially his wife and children in your prayers. As most of you know he left behind 2 beautiful children at the tender ages of 14 & 10, needless to say their devastated, please pray for them. I will keep you posted when I have additional information! Thank you to all his fans for being so dedicated to his music his dream and never giving up on him even though most of you knew he was going through difficult times for that I can’t thank you enough. A life cut short after only 34 years. Tragic is an understatement. While family desperately tries to find comfort in something so painful, the only solace comes in knowing he’s in a better place. A place filled with family that also left emptiness here on earth when they too left far too soon. The natural curiosity that comes when one passes at an early age is natural. People ask, was it an accident, or was it an illness? Perhaps if the answer was yes to either of those, then the heartfelt condolences are more sincere. Then, there’s darker curiosity of was it violence, or self affliction, or drugs? When it’s yes to one of those, there’s a bit of shame that can come from it. I say, refuse to feel shame, instead, hope to inspire others to find the will to recover. Drug addiction is a disease that affects an entire family. Daniel was a deeply loving soul. His legacy now lives through family, but mostly through his children. His death is an agonizing reflection of the depth of love others have for him.
