Help Liv and Will rescue the Rotties!
Hi everyone,
Myself and my husband, Will, are running in the Hunter Valley Wine Run 10.5km run on 20 July 2025 to raise money money for Iron Dog Rescue.
I am sure that 10.5km is probably nothing to some avid runners out there, but anyone who knows me knows this is the equivalent of a marathon (or more) for me. I despise running and am particularly terrible at long distances, but I will be training very hard over the coming months so that I can achieve this goal to raise money for such an important cause.
This cause is very close to our hearts. As many of you would know, we have a gorgeous, hilarious rottie girl, Cujo, who we love more than anything - but there are so many other beautiful rotties out there who dont get to sleep squeezed under the covers between mum and dad (mum usually on the floor) in bed every night like Cujo does.
Many of these amazing dogs may be rescued or surrendered by loving owners who can no longer care for them due to financial issues, health issues or domestic violence. Some of them are senior dogs who through no fault of their own can no longer stay in the home they have always known. Iron Dog Rescue work tirelessly to protect and care for these dogs and give them a safe home until they can find their forever home and cozy bed just like Cooji girl, just as they deserve.
We think the work they do is so so important and thats why we would be so grateful for any donation big or small to this charity to take care of these beautiful dogs.
Iron Dog Rescue are currently saving up to do some infrastructure works on the shelter to make it a better home for the dogs, including installing a water tank and solar panels. These are expensive works and every little bit counts.
If you would like to know more about the charity please visit their website or Instagram, even better, adopt a beautiful dog!!
If you do not have the money at the moment please donate some time by arranging to go down there and help out with the dogs or send an email to Iron Dog Rescue at the email on their website to see how else you may be able to help out.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to Will and I and we are eternally grateful.
