This week has been a nightmare for so many families on Maui.

Im starting this fundraiser for my best friend whos family members have all been affected by the fire. Ashley's mom, step dad, sister, aunts, uncles, and gram + pops have all lost their homes and places of employment. Her brother is still unaccounted for and we're all praying for him to be safe and able to make contact with their family soon.

This family has grown and been a part of this community for years and years and the loss is monumental here.

While we're so relieved so many are safe, they are now without all of the basic necessities and it could be quite some time before they're even able to get back in to survey the damage and loss. They are in need of literally everything right now.

We experienced this devastation 3 years ago in our own hometown and watching the community pool together to help was so inspiring. And as we saw here, this will take years to rebuild and government aide takes longer than anyone would like. And living in a small community on an island, the ability to get supplies or even relocate will be astronomically more difficult.
