Donate to help the Madhoun family

Hello my name is Yomna and I started this fundraiser on behalf of my dear brother Hesham and his family of 9.

Hesham reached out to me in hopes that I would start a new campaign for him as his other campaign is in Swedish Krona which has a very low exchange rate and the donations on his previous campaign are very slow (the last donation was £2.44 and that was over a week ago) . So I started this campaign as I know the British pound has a better exchange rate (10 British pounds is 134.5 Swedish krona).

This is his story:
My name is Hisham Al-Madhoun, and I’m 23 years old. I come from Gaza, Palestine, where I live with my family. We dream of a future where we can live in peace, without the constant shadow of war hanging over us. My heart aches to provide my family a life of dignity, safety, and freedom—things that have been taken from us for so long. I have four wonderful siblings: Mohammed, Amjad, Farah, and Rida. We also care for a brave 12-year-old boy who was separated from his family because of the occupation and now lives with us, yearning for his parents.

I graduated from Palestine University and worked as a truck driver for a private company until war shattered our world. In an instant, everything we knew and cherished was gone. We’ve been forced to leave our home again and again, struggling to find even the most basic necessities—clean water, food, and shelter. We now live in tents, exposed to the harshness of weather and the reality of our situation.

When our home was bombed, my hopes of starting a small business disappeared. We were displaced to the southern part of Gaza, and like so many others, I lost my job. My older brother, who had just been married a few months before the war, also lost his job. My father can no longer work, and my younger brother, who was in his first year studying engineering at university, has had his dreams shattered—his university no longer exists. My two younger sisters, Farah and Rida, are still in school, but the future feels so uncertain.

Our life now is filled with constant struggle. Clean water and food are scarce, and the cold winter nights are unbearable without proper shelter. We are in survival mode, trying to make it through each day, while the emotional and psychological toll of this war weighs heavily on us all.
