We have created this page to help the Kovacs family during this very difficult time. Adrienn is 14 years old and a freshman at Vernon High School, and she was diagnosed with DIPG, an aggressive brain cancer, in early May of 2025. Adrienn is an integral part of our SCY Swordfish swim team family, and is one of the hardest workers and fiercest competitors we’ve ever seen. She brings warmth, laughter, and an unforgettable spirit to everyone around her. Throughout her illness, she has shown incredible strength, resilience, and determination, never giving up hope. In the past couple months, her illness has caused many, many seizures and most days have been spent in the hospital, where she needed to be intubated twice. The Kovacs family is extremely kind, strong, humble, and close-knit, and are going through unimaginable pain right now.
