Hi everyone,
One of the best things about our community is how we rally and support each other. Will you please join us and support Randy and Nancy Hoekstra? Nancy has been battling colon cancer and all treatment has stopped working.
While the family is devastated, they cling to the only hope in the world — that Jesus is their Savior.
If you’re part of the Timothy community you’ve probably met the Hoekstras. Nancy (Fako) graduated in 1990, Randy in 1989 and all three of their kids are also alumni! Caleb graduated this year, Olivia (Poortinga) in 2017 and Val (Heyboer) in 2018. They love the Christ-centered community so much that after Olivia and Val graduated from college, they both came back to work for Timothy. Olivia is an admissions ambassador and Val teaches first grade. Nancy served our students in the high school cafeteria — even through all of her treatments!
Current Situation and Request for Support
The financial burden of Nancy's cancer care has reached an overwhelming $200,000. As the Hoekstra family navigates this incredibly challenging time, we hope to raise funds to alleviate some of the financial stress and allow them to focus on their time together.
