Deborah Lucille Kinard Holmes was a beautiful mother, grandmother,aunt, sister, and a loving mother figure to many. She deeply loved her three children and always referred to them as her babies. Deborah enjoyed watching her favorite shows, especially Grey’s Anatomy. She cherished spending time with her granddaughters and great nephew and she always supported those she loved in all their endeavors.

Deborah was sassy, full of laughter, and loved to play and joke. Even through great pain, she never let it completely bring her down, remaining strong until she lost consciousness.

Deborah was on oxygen due to lung conditions, including COPD and asthma. After contracting the flu, her condition worsened, and she was hospitalized. During her stay, she endured multiple procedures, including several surgeries to treat compartment syndrome caused by an IV complication. Later, she suffered a collapsed lung, which caused her heart to stop. She was resuscitated, a chest tube was placed to re-inflate her lung, and she was put back on a ventilator, but she never regained consciousness.

With love and compassion, her family and doctors made the decision to remove life support. Deborah passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was tired, and she is no longer suffering.
