On December 19th, around 8:30, Henrick Lopez Salto tragically lost his life to gun violence outside of the Tim Hortons on N. Wilson Dr. He was just 18 years old. His brother, Rodrigo Lopez Salto, was also shot and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He is currently undergoing several life-saving surgeries. At this time, the family has no information about who committed this crime and why.

If that was not hard enough for this family, Henrick and Rodrigo's father is currently battling cancer and because of this has been unable to work.

Henrick was loving, humble, hardworking, and overall a great person. He always strived for excellence and wanted his surroundings to be as well. He always worked hard because that’s what his father showed him. He loved his cars and always made sure they were running and looking right. You would catch him cleaning his truck or car and doing some work to it. He uplifted everybody’s spirit with just a single smile. Henrick will forever be missed and loved by his family and friends.

Money given through this fundraiser will not be a donation to CRIS (and will therefore not qualify as tax-deductible). We are asking for your support here on behalf of Henrick and Rodrigo's parents, and 100% of what is raised will go to them. They will need money for funeral services, burial, and memorial for Henrick as well as other costs resulting from this tragedy such as medical bills, counseling, travel expenses for Grandparents to come to Henrick's funeral, and living expenses for the family as they grieve and support Rodrigo's recovery.
