I am Umm Fadi from the northern Gaza Strip.

I had three children - two of them with special needs - Fadi and Lian. Lian died at the beginning of the war due to the lack of resources and the unavailability of proper treatment and nutrition. I fear that Fadi’s fate will be like his sister’s.

Fadi suffers from complete cerebral palsy and brain attrophy, since even before the war. His condition is very poor and has worsened due to the starvation. He cannot walk, speak, or talk. And right now, he is suffering from malnutrition due to the famine we are experiencing.

Fadi needs a lot of special supplies - special food, diapers, and a wheelchair. He also needs ongoing treatment. There is an extreme lack of medical and health resources in Gaza. But whatever little is available, the prices are extremely high.
