Urgent: Help Save Indigenous Medicine & Water Access
Donation protected
“Water is health; water is life. It affected our plants; it affected families, not just my family but the entire community.” Indigenous healer, Dourados Indigenous Reserve.
The Dourados Indigenous Reserve, home to 25,000 people, is facing severe drought, threatening medicinal gardens that are their main healthcare. This is not just their problem; it's our shared responsibility. Families are losing their healing plants, children miss school due to dehydration, and broken water pipes leave many without access to clean water. TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
How You Can Help
The community URGENTLY NEEDS a backhoe to repair water pipes and expand access to the reservoir. A total of $40,000 will ensure:
➡️ Clean water for families in crisis
➡️ Restoration of medicinal gardens—their only pharmacy
➡️ Survival of ancestral knowledge for future generations
Every donation brings water, health, and hope. For more information, please visit: https://u.osu.edu/castilhodasilvasresearch/culture-of-care-at-the-dourados-indigenous-reserve/
