Last year, my friend and coworker of many years, Dean Cumbo, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Dean has served his country well in the US Army, as well as a law enforcement officer and nuclear security police officer. After 10 months of fighting his latest battle, undergoing months of chemo and radiation, he has made the decision to discontinue treatment and transition to hospice care. Dean has fought this battle hard, but now is seeking peace, rest, and pain management to spend valuable time with his wife, Lori, and two boys, Dylan and Luke. Any money raised will go directly to his family to defray medical expenses and other mounting costs.
