Dear Oakland Community,

In case you had not heard, our dear friend, Carmen Childs suffered a stroke this week. She is thankfully going to be ok, but it will be a long road of recovery while she is in the hospital and in therapy. We hope to give Roy, Matai and Mahari some financial support so that they can dedicate time to care for Carmen.

We all know Carmen to be such a thoughtful, caring, welcoming, fun-loving and joyful person. She is a dedicated mother, wife and friend. Any and all donations are appreciated. Please feel free to share with those that know her and her amazing family.
