Donate to help Barb Boehmer with medical expenses

My name is Zachary Boehmer. My brothers, Albert, James and I have created this GoFundMe for our mother, Barbara Boehmer, who has been in the hospital bravely undergoing a series of surgeries.

On November 19, 2023, our mother was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital after suffering a heart attack. This is when her battle began. She had to be transported to Bethesda for open heart surgery and underwent four bypass procedures. Three days following that major surgery, her colon busted and she had to have an Ileostomy. She began having more issues five days after the ileostomy where she had stopped breathing, so the doctors proceeded with a Tracheotomy. After all of this, she then developed an abscess in her stomach wound and she had to have a drain plug put in which has now totaled her to four surgeries. She has suffered multiple infections throughout these procedures. This has been an incredibly challenging journey for our mother, as well as for our father, Bert, who has been by her side every step of the way doing all that he possibly can.

After almost two months in the CVICU, our mom is now at a nursing home for continued care and rehabilitation, but the weight of the bills are beginning to become heavy for them so we made this in hopes to relieve some of the financial burden and stress from our parents during this difficult time. All of the donations will go directly to Barb and Bert for them to cover medical expenses.

Most importantly, we are asking for prayers of strength for both of our parents and for our mother’s recovery. We want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read this and would like everyone to know you are very much appreciated.
