Hey! I am Heather; a friend of Teresa and Z's. Teresa and Z have been through a lot the last few years, and even more this past fall. In answer to questions regarding intense fatigue, T has been newly diagnosed with a chronic form of leukemia. It is treatable, but will be lifelong. And the answer comes on the tale of her fall paid work opportunities disrupted as she was diagnosed with an unrelated and rare tumor, and needed two surgeries to get it fully excised. Her entire fall was spent awaiting surgery dates and reschedules. Except of course when she was advocating for Z, who has her own newly diagnosed blood disorder. This will mean many extra trips back and forth to Sick Kids. Weekly, at first.

All of these realities come with financial weight. And with T being the sole provider for the family, this is how we can help support them for now. Z's funding for physio therapy has run out. PT has become an integral part of keeping her mobile and managing pain, and seems like an impossibility at $180/hour for twice monthly appointments. Also, without health benefits, access to therapy to help come to terms with and understand T's cancer diagnosis is out of reach.

This is where we come in.
