The Passing of Tasha’s husband Jason:

We’re asking for help from the community in a time of devastation for Tasha and her son Kaleb. Her husband Jason passed away last week after battling some recent health issues. Jason was admitted to the hospital the first week of November and spent 3 weeks in intensive care and placed on a ventilator. Jason was unable to breathe on his own and passed in his sleep with Tasha by his side. The speed to which Jason’s health deteriorated has left Tasha unprepared for funeral expenses and some daunting medical bills looming on the horizon. We decided to try and help Tasha and her 13 year old son Kaleb financially, in an attempt to help alleviate some of those burdens, giving them a little relief and some time to cope with the loss of Jason.

Tasha has been with the TTB KidZ Children’s Consignment Sale for years. We all know her as the “Tattoo Girl” at the registers, the girl with the “cool hair colors”, The girl that’s “always smiling”, and the girl that “helps everyone at the show.” Her son Kaleb who since he was about 5 years old has always been by her side at the Sale. You would recognize him as the little guy wearing his red TTB KidZ shirt running around the sale floor with a walkie talkie. He’s always had fun playing security guard, meeting other little kids, and chatting it up with whomever would give him the time of day.

Tasha took an unpaid leave of absence from her full time management job at Victoria’s Secret as soon as Jason was hospitalized. Her Victoria Secret family and friends have assured her a return to work once she’s ready to come back. She does not know when that will be. She has built relationships with a great group of colleagues at the store, and am sure they miss her, and look forward to the fun they will have working together again upon her return.

Tasha was by Jason’s side every single day for weeks, and only left in the evenings to be home with Kaleb over night. They have no income coming in right now. Bills are and will be flooding in. The exact amount of what they face is a huge question mark? Christmas is around the corner. The holidays are upon us. We’re asking anyone in this holiday season to give whatever you can. We can’t take away the tears of Jason’s passing, but we can help take away some of the pain these bills will cause if we don’t get help for her. Hug your loved ones every day. You never know when tragedy can happen. Happy Holidays and thank you in advance for any support you can give.
