The start of the pandemic was hard for the world, but especially for Tamara, who was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer at age 31. Before Tamara's world was turned upside down, she spent the majority of her time making family, friends, colleagues, and students smile with her infectious energy, laugh and bubbly attitude. Tamara served as an elementary school teacher and school counselor in Brooklyn, NY. She has always been known as the most upbeat, stylish, reliable, and supportive teammate! This made it nearly impossible for loved ones to watch how Tamara's light dimmed along the journey of chemotherapy, double mastectomy, and post-operation complications. In addition to the physical and mental hindrances, Tamara is struggling to take care of her financial responsibilities with the hefty weight of medical bills.
