Help Sylvia, Our Facility Cat, Breathe Again!
At Noble Beast Dog Training, we believe in creating harmony between dogs, humans, and even other animals. Our facility cats, Mickey and Sylvia, are integral members of our team—not only do they help us keep the mouse population under control, but they also play a critical role in our training programs. Sylvia, in particular, has touched the lives of countless clients and their pets with her calm demeanor and unique ability to help dogs learn to coexist peacefully with cats.
Sylvia is more than just a cat; she’s a teacher, a companion, and a symbol of resilience. Her gentle presence has helped countless dogs develop social skills and prepared families for multi-pet households. Whether it’s through our playful pup classes or private sessions, Sylvia has been there to make a difference. Now, she needs your help.
Sylvia’s Struggle: A Life-Threatening Respiratory Condition
- Since we welcomed Sylvia into our Noble Beast family, she has battled a severe respiratory problem that has progressively worsened over time. Her condition causes an overwhelming buildup of mucus in her nasal cavity, leading to moments where she can barely breathe. At just 8 pounds, Sylvia sneezes out mucus so large it’s hard to believe it came from such a tiny body. Despite being on antibiotics to manage her symptoms temporarily, her health is deteriorating—and she cannot remain on antibiotics long-term without risking further complications.
- Over the past year, we’ve taken Sylvia to multiple specialists who have all concluded that extensive testing is necessary to uncover the root cause of her condition. This includes a CT scan and rhinoscopy to explore whether she may have a foreign body lodged in her nasal cavity, bone destruction, a small mass, fungal disease, secondary infection, or chronic rhinitis. Once we identify the issue, we can move forward with a treatment plan to give Sylvia the quality of life she deserves.
The Cost of Saving Sylvia
- The initial testing alone will cost $4,000—and this doesn’t include ongoing treatments or potential surgeries that may follow once we understand what’s causing her condition. As a small business committed to serving our clients and their pets, we simply don’t have the financial resources to cover these expenses on our own. Every dollar we earn goes directly into running Noble Beast Dog Training and providing exceptional services to our community.
Sylvia is not just a cat; she’s part of our family and an essential contributor to our mission. Losing her would be devastating—not only for us but for the many dogs and families she has helped over the years.
How You Can Help
- We’re asking for your support to give Sylvia the chance she deserves. Your donation will go directly toward covering the cost of her testing and treatment plan so we can extend her life and ensure she continues doing what she loves: helping dogs and humans build better relationships.
Here’s how you can make an impact:
- Donate: Any amount helps! Whether it’s $5 or $500, every contribution gets us closer to saving Sylvia.
- Share: Spread the word about Sylvia’s story by sharing this campaign with your friends and family.
- Support Noble Beast: If you’re local to Denver or know someone who could benefit from dog training services, consider working with us to keep our mission alive.
Sylvia has given so much to others—it’s time for us to give back to her. Please join us in helping this incredible cat breathe freely again. Together, we can save her life and ensure she continues making a difference for years to come.
