Hi, my name is Syd. For those of you that don’t know me, I have been out as transgender for a little over a year now. I am getting top surgery on April 18th, and it’s been a moment I’ve been dreaming about since before I can even remember. This process for me has been wonderful, emotional, and so many other words. I am super excited for this though.

I have been struggling with body dysmorphia, mostly my chest, since I was a kid. I always wanted to walk around without a shirt on, and then I hit puberty and definitely couldn’t be doing that anymore!

This surgery will give me a life and a chance to be finally happy in the body I am in.

I am accepting donations to go towards what I will owe for surgery/recovery. I will be taking close to a month, a little less, off work. Top surgery is a pretty invasive surgery, and recovery can be lengthy. Sadly, my insurance does not pay for a lot of my surgery, and I will not have a lot of paid time off to use.
