Hi, This is Max Anderson and I’m raising funds for my girlfriend Vanessa Ramos. Vanessa is in the hospital suffering from acute kidney failure, and she is fighting to save her kidneys. This is the second time in six months that Vanessa has been in the hospital for this issue. Vanessa is only 33 years old and was healthy and active in her community before experiencing these medical complications. Unfortunately, the source of her ailment remains a mystery. She is set to start the dialysis process this week, and she most likely will need a kidney transplant in the near future.

Before Vanessa got sick she was a healthy young woman and was very active in her community. Since 2014, she has been a volunteer, organizer, and communications specialist working with marginalized communities on justice and environmental issues in Austin and across the Gulf South. Vanessa’s contributions have touched countless people and she’s been involved in numerous campaigns over the years. She was an outdoor enthusiast and maintained an active gym regimen before getting sick in 2022.

Vanessa has not been able to work for the last year and a half, due to medical complications that started last year, and we want to be sure she can make a difference to the community in the future. We are trying to raise $75,000 to help cover last year's medical bills, as well as any ongoing care that she will require.
