If you have ever been a patient of Lori’s at Anew Start Allergy Clinic, you have experienced first hand the amount of care and dedication Lori gives to her work and her community. For over 20 years she has been a pillar of community support, always caring for others; her patients and her family, often prioritizing us over herself.

Recently her husband (and our father) Jeff has been dealing with a sudden health crisis that required a lengthy stay in the hospital. For two and a half months my mom Lori juggled running her clinic, being by our dad’s side (she barely missed a day), and taking care of herself while also being there for my brother and I.

My dad came home last week and still needs constant care with multiple medications and mobility challenges. However, just this weekend my mom suffered a reoccurrence of a previous health condition - likely exacerbated by the stress of the past few months - and has been admitted to hospital herself. My brother and I can only do so much; me as a full time student with a child of my own, and my brother having taken over full time care duties for our dad.

We are asking the community for financial help to close the gap and cover the income my parents will be losing while they both focus on recovery.

We have never asked for help in this capacity, but we know that being part of a community is a reciprocal relationship and we could really use the support right now. If you can’t donate, that is absolutely fine! Even just sharing this fundraiser would be appreciated.

Any donations will be used for: essential household bills, co-pays on medication or other treatments/ therapies, and to close the gap on lost income while they recover.
