Hi, my name is Hannah James and I am the sister-in-law of Mike Hardican. In late July, Mike was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer with a secondary metastatic bone cancer both of which have been incredibly aggressive. He went from no noticeable symptoms in June, to a diagnosis in July and is now unable to walk or even get out of bed.

Hospice has entered the scene, and the reality of what to come is starting to set in. Mike has been the sole provider for his family for 15 years.

Mike is known in Charlotte, North Carolina as the friendly, funny, talented, and beyond kind owner of ‘In The Skin Tattoo’ if you’re lucky enough to have had sat in his chair, you know how unbelievably amazing of a human Mike truly is.

During this increasingly difficult time Mike, his wife, and boys have been fortunate enough to have family travel from Maryland and Pennsylvania to offer moral support, comfort, and help with day-to-day tasks. Sadly Mike and his family do not have any immediate family that live in the state of North Carolina with them. With that being said, his wife and children will have no choice, but to move closer to family, which in itself is not an easy or uncostly thing to do.

I’m creating this in hopes of reaching friends, family, extended family, clients of the shop, and strangers with a heart to give and help.

Funds will be given directly to his wife, Kaitlin Hardican to help with all the new unexpected expenses that have been thrown upon them, as well as helping her and the boys move closer to family so they are able to have the support and love they need during the hardest and saddest times of their life.
